The Organic Trade Association & The non-GMO Project
“The Organic Trade Association’s vision is to grow ORGANIC to achieve excellence in agriculture and commerce, protect the environment and enhance community well-being.”
All ORGANIX recipes meet the extremely detailed and difficult third-party organic certification requirements of the USDA organic certification – this include requirements for each and every ingredient, our production process, organic ingredient storage and handling, and more. The USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP) regulates the way organic food and ingredients are raised or grown, handled, processed and stored. The NOP also governs what can be said on packaging, an additional requirement that Castor & Pollux has consistently applied.
For more on the requirements of the USDA’s NOP, visit www.ams.usda.gov/nop or www.ota.com.
“Our mission is to preserve and build sources of non-GMO products, educate consumers, and provide verified non-GMO choices.”
A non-profit organization, the Non GMO Project is dedicated to the education and preservation of the non-GMO food supply and providing verified food choices. A selection of our ORGANIX canned recipes have gone through the verification process to ensure that these foods were produced in line with the best practices for GMO avoidance.
